Board Guidelines 2006

1. While your opinion is valued, excessive use of profanity when making your point can cause offence to other members. Profanity used to make personal insults will not be tolerated and Admin will monitor and warn as required.


2. This site welcomes all! As such ethnic, gender based or racial discrimination will not be tolerated. Discussion of current affairs may prompt strong feelings, please respect the feelings of others when making your point. Should you consider that a post is discriminatory please contact the Moderator of the forum or Site Admin.


3. As a discussion forum, opinions often oppose. Moderators and Admin will remove posts or threads intended to offend or inflame other members directly without discussion. An explanation for removal will be forwarded via private message to the member involved.


4. The publication of private messages is prohibited. Where possible private messages such remain exactly that, however should you receive a pm that is in anyway threatening, or intimidating, or generally derogatory, it should be forwarded to Admin and in there absence a Council Member should be identified to whom you forward the message. Admin and Council reserve the right to publish such messages in a private forum and discuss any action required. As far as is possible this will remain private.Personal messages are a great way of getting to know other members, but any reported abuse of this to defame or inflame may result in the suspension of this priveledge. Site Admin can be contacted via email shoud a suspension occur.


5. Moderators are used to protect members from personal attacks and regulate the forums. While Moderators have certain abilities, with regard to removal of posts/ threads, and temporary suspension of members the ultimate decision will come from Site Admin. Any concerns regarding the moderators involvement in disputes or reaction to posts/threads, should be forwarded to Admin via Private messages rather than publicly on the site forum. Personal attacks of any nature will be removed without notice.

6. Whilst members are encouraged to become familiar with others, any personal information/ photographs etc shared is done so at the member’s own risk. That said, should another member alter or abuse your personal information, a complaint should be forwarded to the Moderator of the forum, who will in turn discuss our involvement with Site Admin.Full procedure for any complaint is laid out in Admin announcements, please ensure you familiarise yourself before embarking on a complaint.

7. Duplicate membership will not be tolerated. Speak your mind by all means but do so as yourself! Any member found to have duplicate accounts risks being banned by site Admin.

8. Again, while we welcome discussion and diversity of members opinions, deliberate attempts to defame or flame opinions regarding the USA and her allies will not be tolerated. Sensible and respectful discussion is conducive to increased knowledge, and factual input is embraced. Flaming and bashing is not.

9. While every attempt will be made to welcome all members here, we do reserve the right to ban members and where possible this will be done with warning.

10. Member stalking will not be tolerated, keep your posts appropriate to the thread and do not raise issues in threads that are not connected directly. A forum has been provided for one on one disputes, use this when required and allow those not involved in your dispute to continue using the site for their pleasure.

11. Spamming, Hacking, the use of IP Anonymizers and Spyware is not permitted. Use of such unlawful practices will result in instant removal of your priviledge to veiw the Board and your IP will be recorded and logged into the Boards security feature to prevent you entering Firebase Freedom indefinately.


12.The Board has been divided to accommodate most topics and New Topics are appreciated, occasionally posts may be placed in an inappropriate forum and Admin and Moderators reserve the right to move a thread to a more appropriate place, should this occur you will be informed via pm, should you wish to contest the post being moved please make contact with the Moderator or Admin member who originally contacts you and this will in turn be discussed by Mod’s and Admin at their earliest convinience. Suggestions for alternative forums are always welcomed.

13. Do not deliberately post multiple New Topics in rapid succession in one or more forums, 'index-flooding', pushes all the latest and current Topics off the first page in the Boards Forum Index. In other words nothing short of spamming the Board. Warnings will apply, if it continues you will be banned.

14. Pictures, video and audio clips are welcome, as with most posts, discretion as to the content and it’s effect on others should be given due consideration prior to posting, graphic images should be posted with a warning either in the thread title or by-title, images of a pornographic or offensive nature will not be tolerated and if considered such will be removed without warning, you will be informed of any removal via pm, this extends to signatures and avaters, it is important that every member is made to feel comfortable posting and this should be considered when choosing images.

15. Administration of Firebase Freedom Forums in conjunction with it's Board Moderators reserves the right to omit, add or edit the Board Guidelines if and when the need arises. All posts are subject to review and rejection by the Administration.

16.All posts become the property of Firebase Freedom and are subject to being posted even when the initial poster has left or changes their view. So post what you will, but remember it may be for the world to see.
